Minutes Unlimited announces their new project “Orange Oxide” with the first single “UPYR”.
The development of Orange Oxide originated from a series of outsider beat prototypes by the Minutes crew, intended to showcase their handmade sample packs. With sound design pushing into the Nyquist frequency, each track name represents their own chemical formulas. Rhythm wise, we see Minutes taking their trademark reduced-fidelity funk far off the grid, only to bring it back with neck snapping snares and cone moving kicks.
