As Pitchfork pointed out, the band is "capable of just as furious a swirl" as My Bloody Valentine and Ride, blending alt rock, shoegaze and trip-hop influences to create a sound that's somehow heavy, dark and tranquil all at once. Their debut EP Tangy Dream was released digitally in 2017 and considered the top 3rd best shoegaze album of 2017 by the listener pool at DKFM. It was later released on cassette by Young Heavy Souls and on vinyl via a successful crowdfunding campaign on Qrates. In 2019, the duo followed up with their second album, Rêve Bleu. 

After a four-year hiatus, Palm Haze is back in the studio, crafting their new album which is slated for release in early 2025.
