Moppy (a/k/a Christopher Thomopoulos) is a DJ who has lived in Chicago and Detroit, creating music he calls "organic." His percussive roots stem from playing drums in Jazz Band in his younger years, and he would eventually get his first set of turntables at age fifteen. From cutting and scratching records in his bedroom with a small crew, he was steadily producing his own music by 2008.

In 2016, Moppy released "The Seven Wonders of the Sea" in collaboration with Chicago's 606 Records and Detroit-based label Young Heavy Souls.
