Artist Biography

Humble Michigan native, fyvr stages driving beats along lush instrumental landscapes.
His approach to music embraces lo-fi aesthetics, sampling analog synthesizers and recording to cassette tape. Shifting from Michigan to New York City and finally settling on an island off the coast of Maine, fyvr maintains an obsessive relationship with outdated audio hardware and continues to experiment and evolve his studio practice.­

fyvr first caught the attention of Detroit label Young Heavy Souls when he mailed them a home-dubbed cassette of his debut beat tape “fidelity vertigo” in early 2016. Later that year they collaborated on the release of his single like like, which quickly became a favorite among YHS listeners. Since then, fyvr’s prolific output has been slowly catching the attention of both fellow producers and beat enthusiasts.
